As Sir Richard Branson’s new cruise venture, Virgin Voyages, steams along toward its planned 2020 debut, the company this week started taking bookings for its initial sailings, and also unveiled some additional attractions for its customers. Virgin Voyages’ first ship is the 2,770-passenger Scarlet Lady (footnote: When Branson controlled Virgin Atlantic Airways, he also named one of its A340s ‘Scarlet Lady’), and it’s due to start operating four- and five-night cruises out of Miami next year to Havana, Cuba; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; and Costa Maya, Mexico.
