Royal Caribbean International offered a new premium VIP package, called The Premier Pass, to its customers for two guests at the price of $88.99. However, the company retracted the offer on March 12 and apologized for the confusion, stating that it was not available to their guests. The package offered priority boarding, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in the stateroom, an inside access tour, a meal with the ship’s officers, a food and wine pairing, unlimited internet access for two devices, and personal laundry service on board. The company offered refunds to those who had purchased the package, but many guests were unhappy with the offer and expressed their disappointment and frustration with the company on social media. Royal Caribbean has now removed the package from its website and provided a $50 onboard credit to those who booked it.
